We know the pain of production companies from our own experience — our founder, Marco Bauer, runs a successful production company in Weiden. Just between us: That company hasn’t yet automated everything either.
But for us, that means: We can quickly go from the office to the production hall and test our ideas, improve our software, and further train our AI models. And thanks to our partners Schaeffler, Sandvik and DMG MORI we receive even more inspiration for our solutions.

Our AI
Today, everyone is talking about Artificial Intelligence. Our development teams prefer to talk about a self-learning copilot based on data models. up2parts is the centerpiece of our copilot. It combines component information from 3D models with production technologies and process steps, along with individual personal and company expertise along the whole production process.

Data security
Your data remain your data: We don’t use your CAD models and production knowledge to improve our own software. Your operating data are exclusively reserved for your own copilot. That is why we call it a self-learning system — unique to each manufacturing company.

AI experts & data scientists
Our artificial intelligence (AI) and data science experts are an interdisciplinary team of physicists, engineers and mathematicians, who we affectionately call “the scientists”. Their core task is to create the right connections between 3D models, work plans and machine data. To achieve this, they set themselves mathematically demanding challenges, including those involving data preparation and analysis, along with implementing prediction models based on machine learning. For that, the team uses frameworks like Python, Tensorflow and many GPUs.
Product specialists
Our product specialists bring your comprehensive knowledge from production into the IT world. This includes communication with the customer: That is how new features arise, are prioritized by the team and consequently implemented. With the help of our experts in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), we always focus our software on the user and develop user-friendly solutions. In design sprints, prototypes are developed and tested with customers. Using qualitative and quantitative user testing, the up2parts cloud is thoroughly tested and constantly optimized.
Software developers
For up2parts software solutions, back- and front-end development work in interdisciplinary teams hand in hand with our product specialists. Their approach: “Cloud first, cloud only.” In their daily work, the teams develop highly scalable API interfaces and cloud applications. For this, we rely on modern tools like .net Core, node.js, Python, Angular, React, Vue and Kubernetes.
